Life has been weird, complicated, busy…
I finally found, by recommendation of a friend, a trans-personal psychologist/ hypnotherapist… yeah… interesting combo… it seems that as she ‘works’ on you, she is paving the way to have this reach all others involved; perfect for those, like me, that have a spouse who does not believe in therapy or psychologists… (or priests, for that matter)
Fabulous to have found this person, not fabulous that right now I cannot afford to go.
This morning as I was getting ready for work a thought came to my mind: what is the most reasonable thing to do? I’ve got several important situations pending, all involving money, more or less the same quantity (orthopedist, dermatologist, renew school polo shirts, tires for my car- one by one, optometrist…therapist)
And guess what my inner voice answered… PUT YOUR OXYGEN MASK ON FIRST… my goodness, it had been a while since I last felt I knew what to do, what I was doing and why I was doing it… so this simple phrase came to me as a huge surprise… is this resiliency? a sigh of resiliency at least…
TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUFF SO THAT YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF THEIRS…
So now, as soon as I am paid some invitations I was commissioned to do, I am making an appointment and starting my way towards a better life with self-care as a priority…
anyway, I just got this in my FB feed and felt like sharing it:
“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given to you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. LIVE THE QUESTIONS NOW. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” ~Rainer Maria Rilke
EMBRACE THE POSSIBILITIES…
LEARN TO LIVE WITH THE QUESTIONS,
they give FLAVOR to LIFE…
My soul is asking me to stop everything and go back to painting… painting, my other ‘oxygen mask’
xo lovely people, happy thanksgiving to all who celebrate and for those who don’t, just HAPPILY GIVE THANKS, no special date needed…
This phrase makes me want to sit in silence and submerge myself in its profoundness… Thank you Mame, it’s been a while since I last celebrated Thanksgiving, however today I will happily give thanks, xo Alexandra
“Live the questions.” I love that.
Happy Thanksgiving!
It takes some true self-love to do it, but this time I have to, important things depend on it… xo friend
🙂 Asi es.. First help yourself, then others.. siempre me lo dicen…
