In response to today’s DAILY PROMPT…Give some love to three blog posts you’ve read and loved in the past week, and tell us why they’re worth reading.
The following aren’t blog posts I read but watched…
The Carrot, Egg and Coffee Bean Story…
This was part of my friend Stu’s blog post on TheChangeYour LifeBlog
A carrot, an egg and some coffee used as a metaphor for life’s hardships and how we face them…I won’t say any more, you need to watch it! plus the fact that it made me wish I had my grandmother back, grandmothers are wisdom incarnate

How to Know When You’ve Found Your Purpose in Life – Super Soul Sunday
This second video was also part of one of Stu’s posts on TheChangeYourLifeBlog
I quickly transcribed my favorite parts of this excerpt from the whole Super Soul Sunday chat
How do you know when you are on the right path? You are not put in a position to betray yourself, don’t negotiate your sense of integrity or your heart…this isn’t costing me my power, my psyche, my soul, you feel tired but not drained…you don’t feel you are losing yourself in this…
What is the difference between betraying yourself and compromising in a relationship?…Compromise is when willingly and out of love you say: “that’s OK”, and don’t go away feeling like you betrayed yourself, like you’ve put poison in your mouth…
How do I know if I am on the right path? You are never on the wrong path but you are making unwise choices and your intuition is telling you…
Aha moment: the ultimate betrayal is to betray yourself

“Still I Rise” by Maya Angelou
And this last video was part of a post from DailyGood.org which offered a link to KarmaTube where they had this gem…
Maya Angelou… my goodness! she leaves me speechless… this is a video of her reciting her poem to resilience and dignity…to here her voice, the real voice behind those words…if the poem itself traps you please give yourself a few minutes to listen to here, to see her recite with her whole being the words her heart and mind once dictated
Video from KarmaTube
Hope you enjoy these videos, thanks Daily Prompt
Hugs people!

The Maya video was a great addition – I’ve not seen that before – thanks. 🙂
Maya Angelou leaves me speechless as well. Thank you for the amazing selections, sister friend. Lovely evening materials to ponder…
Thank you Teecee 🙂 I’m so happy you enjoyed them, btw have you had a chance to check out Stu’s blog post? It has a lot to do with your blog post from yesterday (oops, I make a mess of the days because of all our different time zones) did Maya Angelou have you mesmerized?
Wow! Beautiful selections. Three posts worth sharing indeed.
