Well, I’m back where I live the rest of the year which I can’t quite call HOME after spending 10 days where my heart is…
This is supposed to be the last stretch of our stay in Mexico City, and I’ll make the best of it…
We keep reminding ourselves that by summer we’ll be back home putting our real house back on it’s feet…and maybe it was knowing this that made our good-byes more tearful this time…when there’s so little time left you can’t help ask yourself, why don’t we just stay here? it’s just 6 more months, let’s do it now…but, there are things that we have to go back and finish, so, get packing!!
Yet, it’s hard to see your children’s tears when they have to say good-bye to their grandparents once again…
This time I fully understood, after trying to make my daughter see the bright side that to them- children- there is no bright side in leaving their loved ones, the less complicated/hurried life, the warmth of home to follow their father’s dream work project.
But, as I just texted to my mom, in these cases we see time as a punishment, as a sentence that we have to complete, but it’s not, TIME is just a measure, it’s not against us, it’s not a burden we have to carry, it’s just more practical than counting how many times the sun rises.
And to make this natural event (TIME) special with every sunrise, I’ve picked some pretty awesome links to lovely calendars for this coming 2012
