…today Google remembers Marie Curie…another great Lady and part of the Nobel Prize winning husband and wife team.
This is another doodle that touches my heart…
I remember so well being in Jr. High and having to read the longest biography ever to make a report: Marie Curie’s Life…
I found the book in my grandmother’s library, you know bookshelves filled with forest green, burgundy, chocolate brown leather covered books, the oldest Encyclopedia Britannica I had ever seen, and a huge collection of complete biographies among many other valuable books… (btw I think I should rescue those from abandonement)
I felt angry at first, because the teacher knew what he had just done in giving me that topic, but my grandmother told me to read it from start to finish that I wouldn’t regret it. Of course, she helped me out with the writing of my report, but Istill finished the book some time after turning my homework in.
My grandmother was right! what a woman! , what a life! (ja, yes, both of them my grandmother and Marie Curie, the birthday girl)
From her bio I learned about the illustrious SORBONNE (from where my PRINCESS NERD dream for my daughter was born- let’s keep the nerdiness going !!)
today in one of Mexico’s leading Newspapers a headline reads:
GOOGLE GOES RADIOACTIVE WITH MARIE CURIE
If you have the chance, visit your nearest library and check out Marie Curie’s biography… as with many biographies this is one that’ll capture your heart and brain!
