yes, LATTICE (sounds like lettuce but change the E for an A and the U for an I, hmm?!) or LATTICEWORK is: an ornamental criss-crossed framework, an arrangement of crossing laths or other thin strips of material, courtesy of WIKIPEDIA (el tumba-burros virtual!)
I’m in love with it, I think I’ve always been in love with THE SYMMETRY, THE UNEXPECTED PATTERN THAT COMES ABOUT from crisscrossing geometrical shapes, THE REPETITION and how if you look at it for a while it starts to hypnotize you!
Recently I’ve been seeing it again A LOT!
in RUGS, which by the way comes with the whole how-to DIY…
…as a screen/room divider… (this image from ELLEDECOR)
… on walls (you can DIY this too!) and on furniture…
…here’s a DIY for decorating an old credenza with faux LATTICEWORK…(btw, on this same blog post you can find the DIY for the houndstooth rug!)
ARE YOU LOVING IT YET!!!
I am at least going to try the LATTICE RUG DIY, but am thinking of a good place to do the WALL LATTICE DESIGN…wuuhuu
How about you? which one are you going to try?
